Bits and bobs #7 (grandma adoption theories)

I'll start with a BB cream I have been using recently.
It's the Sanctuary Skin Perfecting BB cream. I bout it for around £14 from Boots but it was part of a 3 for 2 offer which wasn't so bad.

I'll get straight to the point here with this one, I am not impressed at all with this BB cream at all. No matter how I try to apply it it goes on really blotchy which I hate and it is slightly greasy. The only real benefit it has is the SPF 15. I really don't want to waste the money I spent on it so I may mix it with another face cream but otherwise I probably won't buy it again.

Next up is a very thick shea butter hair mask.

It's so thick there are indents left from where my fingers have scooped the products out.

It's an incredibly moisturising mask that's on par with argan oil conditioners in terms of moisture. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to do much else. I think it's supposed to have repairing properties but I haven't noticed any less breakage.

Look familiar??

That's because I have blogged about the matching conditioner before. The scent matches the conditioner but seems slightly more synthetic. It's very cleansing and leaves my hair squeaky clean but the most special feature about this shampoo is that it's shimmery!!! That's enough of a reason for me to buy it (I told you I was a magpie). I completely forgot to take a picture of it but it looks really cool.

I've recently taken up knitting. It started purely out of sheer boredom and because its the only thing I can successfully do in terms of multitasking. Personally I hate sitting down and keeping still but knitting is one of the few things that can keep my hands busy and requires little concentration once you get the hang of it.

This is my first creation which was merely just for practice.

I know it looks shoddy and you can clearly see where I have lost my tension or missed stitches but hopefully my skills will improve.

At the rate things are going I am rapidly progressing to the lifestyle of an old cat lady at the age of 21. To be honest it wasn't for my actual cat allergies I would most definitely consider having multiple cats to fill the void of loneliness. Fortunately I have come up with a genius back up plan. I call it 'Granny Adoption' whereby families with young kids can adopt old spinsters to be there childrens' granny. I suppose this isn't much different from hiring a child minder/nanny however nannies won't spoil you with chocolate cake and ice-cream like my grandmother did :)
